The higher purpose of the HeartNodes initiative

Why does a doctor of experimental medicine and cardiovascular scientist take a step into the limelight of online media? Saereh Khanamiri obviously has a solid platform of knowledge and interest to speak out from that she is known to share so generously – but why not just keep the conversation to her medical and scientific peers? Well, – venturing beyond our zone of potential development and preventing ourselves from winding up in our own echo-chamber would seem a perfectly healthy and worthy motivation for engaging on a much wider scale. Another heartfelt reason could very well be the personal experience of chronic disease and the desire to make a positive difference for people in similar positions.
But why then bother throwing yourself at the mercy of the digital mob? Did social-media really ever make anyone wiser?, happier?, smarter? more democratic?, solidaric?, resourceful?, productive? or fulfilled as talent? HeartNodes surely wants to beat the odds on several of these parameters and deliver accountable growth to its participants, and yes – it does sound impossible – the complexity of discussing heart health meets the equally daunting challenge of facilitating a multi-channel and cross-channel conversation in the blogos-phere.

Starting an inclusive and online conversation about heart health with a much wider audience of participation is a pioneering endeavor and takes guts! – and hope, – and accountability – and cooperation and much much more – which is something that the HeartNodes initiative is dedicated to encourage and mobilize in all of us.
In return HeartNodes delivers an independent, safe and moderated space for open and dedicated conversation and exploration from the heart and about the heart – on demand and person to person.

As an interest driven platform, HeartNodes cross-channel and cross-pollinate knowledge and global talents and science, for the accelerated advancement of heart health – open for anyone to engage, chip in, learn and perhaps make new important discoveries together.

HeartNodes’ network already extends to leading universities, and cardiovascular communities and associations in Scandinavia, UK and USA –and the invitation is for anyone caring for heart health to join in the conversation and to help us continue to expand and dig deeper.

So, do you – as Saereh does, – see the potential for saving more hearts?
and do you as many others do, feel a strong desire to incubate and merge ideas, knowledge and resources in new and organic ways?

Just think about it. If we help each other release an infinite potential of wisdom from a committed and engaged crowd of scientists, relatives, patients, physicians, caregivers, administrators, politicians and the wider civil society –
under one common goal to advance heart health. Wouldn’t that hold potential to bring us faster and closer to the overall purpose, of saving lives?

As a sufferer of chronic disease herself, Saereh says”

I am convinced that the chances are much greater when we share and multiply our wisdom to infinity. Thats’ the reason why we now have HeartNodes.
HeartNodes.com is an open, non-profit, and moderated platform for engaging exchange and networking about heart health where we aim to cross-pollinate talents and science, for the accelerated advancement of heart health. Let us share our ideas, questions, challenges, knowledge, and experiences – it is not yours or mine, but ours to share”.
If HeartNodes inspires you to want to commit and contribute to HeartNodes, please do send me an e-mail, so we can join forces. We welcome a friendly discussion about prospect, possibilities, possibilities and ways to keep improving our platform.
